I have been to very few stores in the pandemic. One of them is the Apple Store at the Cambridgeside mall in East Cambridge. I have actually been there twice. Lucky me to live less than 1.5 miles away.

I had to have an appointment. And wear a mask. And have my temperature taken. And practice social distancing. No problem.

The place was busy – as usual. The staff was super-friendly, knowledgeable and helpful – as usual.

The first Apple Stores date from 2001. I am not sure when the one at Cambridgeside first opened. It was remodeled a few years ago.

Nice store. All it is missing is a window. Remarkable that they don't have cash registers or a checkout desk.

As someone deeply immersed in the Apple ecosystem, I really appreciate the Apple Store. As a Cantabrigian, I love having one so close to home.

I am loving the new M1 Macbook Air. And I am super excited for the new M1 iPad Pro.  As for my iPhone, I am still enjoying my 8+. I guess I am old school in liking the button at the bottom of the screen.
