Darwin's served coffee and sandwiches and the community for over 30 years, closing in December 2022. Darwin's was a Cambridge institution. First came Darwin's on Mount Auburn Street outside of Harvard Square. Then came Darwin's on Cambridge Street in Mid Cambridge near Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. And then there was Darwin's on Massachusetts Avenue outside Central Square near MIT. In 2019, Darwin's took over the Petsi Pies location on Putnam Avenue outside of Harvard Square.
I loved Darwin's Ltd. It was the genuine article. Classic Cambridge. Steven and Isabel Darwin did Cambridge a great service by serving all of us over the years. Thank you!
