Longfellow Bar at Alden & Harlow in Harvard Square is located in the space formerly occupied by Cafe Algiers (RIP). Count yourself lucky if you land a seat at the bar itself on the top floor. Talk about a dramatic space – it's stunning!

Collette Wine Bistro is located in the Porter Square Hotel in Porter Square. Once upon a time, I lived in Paris. Ah, Paris! Makes me grateful for this bistro – and the steak-frites!

Best way for me to get to both restaurants in season is via Vespa! Ah, Cambridge!
