Elmendorf Baking Supplies & Cafe in Cambridge – located at 594 Cambridge Street (at corner with 8th Street) in East Cambridge – is a retail and community space for bakers. Owners Teddy (that's me with Teddy outside Elmendorf in the photo above) and Alyssa Applebaum have created an inviting space for bakers and cafe goers alike.

Elmendorf offers baking equipment, as well as specialty and everyday ingredients, and grains milled in house. It's a true home for the local baking community, a place where experienced bakers can take their craft to the next level, and hobbyists can sharpen their skills.

The pandemic has seen baking take off like never before here and as you might well expect, Elmendorf is thriving.

Not a baker myself, I gravitate to Elmendorf for their cafe offerings. I really like the turkey sandwich on the lunch menu.

Elmendorf is a special place. Be sure to watch the video below to learn more about it. And join me at Elmendorf!
