Seller Success Story: Ciao
Joanna reaches out to me from Italy.
"Charles, it's time for me to sell my condo outside Inman Square."
Ten years ago, I helped Joanna purchase the place as her buyer's agent. She moved right in and loved every minute of renovating and realizing the home's true potential.
Speaking of love, a blossoming new relationship ultimately leads her to decide on relocating to Florence.
In short order, a happy tenant moves right into Joanna's lovely light-filled place in Cambridge.
But when the tenant announces during the pandemic that they are moving out in two months, Joanna realizes it is time to sell.
Covid times and a tenant in place means restricted access to the home.
And that means I must get great photos and a super 3-D tour together, so that prospective buyers can "see" the space before visiting in person.
Blessed by a tenant with a flare for style equal to Joanna's, we come on the market looking the part.
It's surprisingly quiet at first.
Demand for a condo in Covid times is hard to predict.
I counsel patience. "Okay," says Joanna.
A week after listing for sale, we receive an offer for over the asking price. Joanna decides to accept it.
"Ciao, Charles!" says an emotional Joanna on the phone from Italy. "Ciao, Cambridge."
